I made a Magus (Eldritch Scion), so at the start here I keep acid splash on auto cast so the full attack does both spell and normal attack.
This appears to work, however, casting defensively doesn't.
I see the casting defensively check in the log and it says I succeeded, but the enemy still gets an AoO against me. I thought it was made that if this check succeeded the enemy wasn't supposed to get one for this game. I understand the core rules are different.
Thanks.
***Edit*** I think I finally found the answer. It appears that it is the ranged attack component of this spell (and a lot of early spells) that is giving the AoO, not the actual casting of the spell itself. I did not realize it there were more.
Thanks.
