I just encountered the problem that the game seems to forget some of my progress after some time.
I am revisiting Old Sycamore for a new companion quest I picked up and everything seems to be reset tot the state of my first visit there. The map is not explored anymore and all the NPCs are back and having their initial arguments again.
During my initial visit, I was able to leave the area, go back to the Trading Post and pick up where I left when I returned.
