I've convinced Corax to get the feathers for Melianse. She then frees the hostages and leaves, but when i talk to Corax, he says that the lumberjacks are dead. Even after Melianse just has released them from the spell.

Its an old bug.
when looking at steam, you find at least a dozend posts about it.
ignore it, until they fix it.
