I searched for a while and didn't find anything that I could understand as the answer. And on the other hand didn't find much about the issue at all, so maybe its just me.

But is there any way of making the game "borderless window mode" work, without minimising every time I focus on something on my other monitor?

"lock mouse inside window" option in the "graphics" tab
