So the title is pretty self exclamatory.

The problem is that as far as GOG is concerned, my version of Linux isn't supported, in spite of it having newer libraries and generally being better supported than Mint.

I'm running Fedoara 26 on an AMD card, down though Wayland on the Gnome DE. I suppose I could try again in X, but I'd really rather not switch over to X every time I have the urge to give this a go.

Any thoughts?

Edit: I tested in Cinnamon with a prebuilt park. It looks weird in X, as well.

Yeah, officially only Ubuntu is supported. Other versions may work but we can't give any guarantees since the game engine we're using only has official support for Ubuntu as well.

To me this looks like a graphics driver issue, so it'll probably look the same with any display server. Are there any newer/other drivers you can try?
I'm having a similar problem.

Ubuntu 17.04 @ 4.10.0-28-generic
onboard Intel graphics though :-/

One or two or perhaps more MESA driver updates and various kernel updates later...

It looks like this now, which is a large step up.

(Pardon any funky colors, I'm using Night Light.)

Yep, that looks a lot more correct! Have you tried restarting the game?
I've had some reports from Linux users that the ground goes missing if the graphics quality is being changed while the game is already running, usually a restart resolved it then.
If that's the same error for you that'll be something that needs to be fixed on our end.

No, this isn't something that goes away if I fiddle with the graphics; it was at first just black, and now it's just blue but at least I can see things.

Alright! I think the missing ground should be fixed in Alpha 19.

Awesome. It's an alpha anyway, so weird quirky things are to be expected. If there's some way I could help like handing over some kind of log, I'd be delighted to assist.
Update: As of Alpha 19, the game now looks all pretty and proper. I'd post a screenshot, but it's too big for GOG.
I just want to mention a graphical bug on my desktop machine (AMD/mesa) as well, but not nearly as bad as the OPs.

I get black spots and flickers. Turns out this is due to ambient occlusion. If I turn this all the way down the issue disappears. At maximum it's pretty bad.

Related is that the graphics settings don't affect the 'campaign' screen where you can select the next level. There I get those black flickering spots even with ambient occlusion turned all the way down.

GOG has included a file to make a system report, it may well help the devs debug the situation if you provide it.
