Berggeist: What we got from the head of Digerati on Steam was "I won't say they aren't making material, but I won't say they aren't not making material" when it came to the new content and future content, which will be handled by "contractors", which Digerati refused to disclose as to whether it was Code Avarice or not. They also refused to confirm if future updates, developed by "contractors" would have the creators of that work identified.
Ashkc88: This needs source, because it contradicts everything I've read on their Twitter and etc.
Edit: It even contradicts
what I have actually found on the Steam Community Forums:
We have taken over rights to the PC version, leaving Code Avarice no longer involved here and focusing on a new project"
Ashkc88:
the deal puts us in full control of the IP. Details of exact structure are under NDA (which is completely normal for an IP acquisition).... but there is no buy back clause in our agreement!
Ashkc88: So, basically everything I have said above is backed up by what was actually posted by Digerati on Steam.
Berggeist: Also, you seem to think I'm implying there's a conspiracy afoot. I'm not. All I said is that the situation isn't clear and that assumptions can't be made one way or the other.
Ashkc88: I didn't note you specifically.
No problem.
Also my apologies, the refusal to confirm contractor issue was via twitter.
"again, part of deal and therefore contract. So NDA'd . And no that does not mean CA did them. It also doesn't mean they didn't."
for this edition. Nick of Digerati pretty much handwaved it and hasn't been seen since launch.
