Why did you guys have to revive this? The developers have insulted their fans on Steam, Reddit, threatened other developers and now you guys bring it back to sale? That is not cool GoG.
Just an FYI to everyone who decides to post comments/threads like this:

Code Avarice sold the rights to Digerati D&M a while ago, so buying the game won't be supporting the original developers anymore. You guys can stop now.

We don't know what the royalty situation is.

All rights are owned by Digerati D&M now. There are no royalties.

Actually they declined to confirm or deny that under NDA.

Well duh. I do find it hilarious someone would ask expecting an actual answer.

From my experience, acquisitions like this rarely result in the developers getting royalties.
If you can't confirm, don't assume it's necessarily so.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with making assumptions. When you hear outlandish accusations of a conspiracy it's hard to keep an open mind towards one side. That and personal experience with these things. It's hard for me to not think the way I do with where I come from.

My assumptions are no more wrong than making assumptions that the original developers are still making money off of PA.

What we got from the head of Digerati on Steam was "I won't say they aren't making material, but I won't say they aren't not making material" when it came to the new content and future content, which will be handled by "contractors", which Digerati refused to disclose as to whether it was Code Avarice or not. They also refused to confirm if future updates, developed by "contractors" would have the creators of that work identified.

Also, you seem to think I'm implying there's a conspiracy afoot. I'm not. All I said is that the situation isn't clear and that assumptions can't be made one way or the other.

This needs source, because it contradicts everything I've read on their Twitter and etc.

Edit: It even contradicts what I have actually found on the Steam Community Forums:

We have taken over rights to the PC version, leaving Code Avarice no longer involved here and focusing on a new project"

the deal puts us in full control of the IP. Details of exact structure are under NDA (which is completely normal for an IP acquisition).... but there is no buy back clause in our agreement!
So, basically everything I have said above is backed up by what was actually posted by Digerati on Steam.

I didn't note you specifically.

No problem.

Also my apologies, the refusal to confirm contractor issue was via twitter.

"again, part of deal and therefore contract. So NDA'd . And no that does not mean CA did them. It also doesn't mean they didn't."

"I will share this information once the updates are confirmed."

This was a response to asking who made the new content already present for this edition. Nick of Digerati pretty much handwaved it and hasn't been seen since launch.

That's an odd response indeed, however to me it appears like they're trying to not let you get an implied answer from them. This is usually the point where they should have not replied at all, however.

For all we know the recent update could have been done partly by Code Averice before they sold the rights (which would explain why they seem like half-baked ideas and poorly implemented, as was the usual for PA). If this were the case and they were to say yes, it would imply that CA would be receiving money or still be involved.
I only bought this because it was cheaper to get this and Slain together for the current promo rather than get Slain by itself. Slain is awesome while this game looks like a whole lot of 'meh'. I might download and play this game one day... maybe...
