If get a citation on the last person of a normal day, I can't read it. The game switches to your apartment before the citation can be read. Is there a way to prevent the game from automatically switching you to the apartment?

If you dismiss the last person before the queued people begin to disperse, but just after the signal, you may still be quick enough to read it. If not, there's no other way. I wish there was a feature to review your citations at the end of the day.

I wish that they would release a patch where you end the day by closing the closing the shutter yourself and/or waiting fifteen seconds after you dismiss the last applicant (citation or not).
