Looks like it is as close to Panzer General 4 as you can get without getting into legal problems.
BTW the lead programmer on this is the same guy who did Panzer General Forever.

It's fantastic. ordered my copy and been playing for close to a week. Playing with one of the developers right now. The email system is super easy to use...no fumbling with files or folders. If you love PG II it is well worth checking out. What I have found though, is that the multiplayer folks seem to be very very good...and I'm as far away from that as you can get (but im working on it)!

The game is awesome...I am still playing it like crazy! Usualy against humans...there are also 3 dlc's that have come with 2 more on the way which will complete a granad campaign.
Panzer General 2 is alot cheaper here on gog so if you like that it may be worth spending the extra duckets on Panzer Corps as well! Can't go wrong either way!

bought it, but the mission progression its a mess, its much harder than PZ II. Graphics are not that well either, PZ II had 4 axis sprites, this one has static ones. It has some good points, a nice remake, but for 30$ you are better off with PZ II.

these new panzer corps games..is there a computer opponent you can play, or have to play against another human being? would like to know this before spending the money on a game that won't work...like the panzer general2 disaster from GOG ?

Yes there are single player campaigns as well as Multiplayer and works well on Win 7 machines...
