So I'm trying to experiment with the scenario editor, and create a test map. I chose a map and gave each side a supply depot and a victory hex (owned by the other side, which is a requirement), and I gave each side 2000 requisition points on turn 1, and set the AI to aggressive.
My goal with this was to be able to set up battles with random elements, as both the player and AI would essentially buy their army rather than have it predetermined. The only problem is that every time I try to do this, the AI doesn't buy any units until I get right next to his deployment hex, at which point he buys an AT gun. Once destroyed, I win.
Am I doing something wrong in my editing, or is something like this not possible with the AI? Do they not know how to purchase armies? Is the AI strictly scripted?
