Well, I'm beginning to see why I quit this game and deleted it from my computer last year. There is virtually no military intelligence - no estimate of enemy strength and composition plus herr general lies (says they have no aircraft and mobility (Poland) but they have armor and aircraft and I have a few weak mobile infantry units, no air, and no AA. I am apparently out numbered three to one (and attacking!) Artillary won't fire, no AA units (so far) and this: I'm supposed to attack and take sedan with a single artillary unit. That's it! My entire command is a single unit of artillary. New units won't deploy. Gaaaaa! Was this game even play tested?

Assuming you are talking about PG2, I can assure you that one takes Sedan with more than an arty. Did you lose many units in previous scenarios or do you have issues with deploying? Do you try to deploy before the first turn or during the first one?

Yes and I had little to spend to get more units after a clean sweep of losses (the game even skipped the Norway campaign - I should have been cashiered). I decided that to add realsim, I need to save at the beginning then scout around to get an idea of what I am facing then restart. I hate to do that but the lack of a real tutorial and the lack of an enemy assessment means I need to send out "patrols" prior to the battle. No commander in his right mind would attack without a clue as to enemy strength and disposition unless completely desperate (like, say, Lt Col G A Custer?).

Unit losses were also the reason I gave up on PG1 (my first PG) during the first playthrough attempt. Slowly advancing onto enemy cities/positions is key, and then blitzkrieg in the open up to the next stronghold. Superior equipment matters and to advance that far that the enemy isn't able to effectively retaliate.
