So I've been having this problem. If I install the mods included in the extras by GoG or the suggested mod download links in this forum, during the setup screen before each mission if I select one of the new tanks for myself or my wingmen they're invisible and I can't select them to change them back to a vanilla tank. The HQ man is also invisible so I can't select him to see the overview of my platoon. Is this a common/known problem and is there any way to fix it or work-around it?

The tanks are invisable because the mod maker has not added images for those tanks.

I have seen where the ADC (help guy) becomes invisible in Ostpak and PE3. I think they have some setting wrong in the *.cmp file. Reloading the save file has brought back the ADC in the past for me.

Or you could edit the campaign file manualy.

Data\PE_Campaign.ini contains the last tanks used.
example:
[TANKA]
Name=Pz4H

While Win 10 is not supported, the latest build of the game engine does work in Win 10.

Saying it and not explaining how it is done,is tantamount to internet trolling,I'm looking to find just WHERE they figured out HOW they got it to work.I am growing frustrated,that's all.

It's true that I do like to play the troll on much of the internet, but when it comes to PESE I do not troll. I gave you a link where some have reported success with Win10. I do not have Win10, I have Win98 and WinXP. I still use both in my hobby time of computers. I have no incentive to upgrade my computer or it's OS. You insinuate PESE will not work with Win10 and GOG is lying that it works with Win10. I pointed out that GOG is not lying.

Three thoughts.

Install PE to the root of C: (or any other drive), not within the C program files folder. This helps with needing admin rights for writing to the HDD.

Win has become controlling of where a file can be and have ability to write to the HDD. Check this thread for info about making PESE work since Vista. http://pedg.yuku.com/topic/757/How-to-get-PE-Working-With-VISTA . Take special note about the later posts regarding Windows 'virtual store'.

PE is a 32 bit program. I am unsure how it can be affected by systems with more then 4 gigs of ram. My recent builds of the game engine have added Microsoft's flags for more then 2 gigs of ram, but without a 64 bit OS and large amount of ram I can only guess.

I am sorry that your are frustrated. PE is an old game. GOG has a return policy. A wise man who was once a friend told me some good advice. "PE is only a play.".
