I am playing the 1.subcampaign of the GC now and i just curios...do i keep all Units&prestige if i switch from one Subcampaign to the next or do i loose something/everything?

Your core and prestige is saved at the end of campaign. At the start of the next one you may choose to import it. Some campaigns have restrictions and you'll have to choose only a part of your core.
