Hey guys,

My first time writing here on the forums. I looked beforehand if my question was covered already and I didn't find anything. But if it is, please forgive me.

So since I recently heard about the Sequel/Remake I decided to check out the original again. I already own the main game with the Battle out of Hell AddOn from it's initial release. So I was looking on GOG for the full package.

As you probably know there are many more AddOns:
Painkiller: Overdose
Painkiller: Resurrection
Painkiller: Redemption
Painkiller: Recurring Evil

I know that opinions on these are pretty much a mixed bag and they are - to be precise - standalone products that have not much to do with the main game except that they play in the same universe (as far as I know at least).

Alas GOG also just sells the Black Edition.

Does anyone know why these AddOns have not been considered to be released, yet? Is there some specific reason? Cause I'd be really interested to get the full package on that one. Of course also since I pretty much own the contents of the Black Edition already.

Thanks for reading.

There's always the ugly monster of licensing issues. Several of the expansions were simply repackaged fan mods, and the rights to them may not be owned completely by PCF. It could also be due to pricing issues, as even though they're standalone they're still basically just expansion packs.

Alternatively, it may be because all of the expansions were increasingly terrible. Most fans of the series will tell newcomers to only play the original and Battle out of Hell for that reason alone. Personally I think even BooH is a mixed bag, but it at least has good level design (even if the card conditions are enormously irritating).
