Hi, just wanted to say thank you that Painkiller is on GOG, and for the sale. I run Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.1, but have been able to get it running via Playonlinux and the Gamersonlinux guide [thank you very much to them, also]. Wonderful to play this again. :-)
