ok i have been playing painkiller but recently i came among this reeaaly annoying issue.
whenever i click on save /load in the main menue or reach a checkpoint a message comes it pulls me out of the game and a message comes up saying:
Script Error
[string "/SaveGame.Info"]:1: invalid control char near char (0)

Press "Retry" to Debug.

abort retry ignore:
after clicking retry a few times it works as it should do untill the next checkpoint but is incredibly annoying.any suggestions on how to fix this would be welcome.

Edit:i have tried redownloading it seeveral times but i still have the same issue.

Not sure, but it could be the same issue someone else had. It's with Windows 7 not giving the game permissions to write the save games to the correct folder, instead Windows wants them written in /user folder or something like that. I'll see if I'll find that thread.

Have you installed the game to folder named "Program Files (x86)", by any chance? If so, that's your issue. It's a protected folder and Windows doesn't allow the game to write anything there.

It turns out i did install it there.how would i fix it.just install it somewere else?
