Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere, but there doesn't seem to be a thread on this.

I got the Steam demo for Painkiller: BE recently, and the highest resolution was only 1600x900, so that's what, 4:3 ratio?

Now, I just got the GOG version ($3.99 promos ftw), and I was wondering if the full version has added support for true 1080p? As in, will I be able to play this in 1920x1080, or would I have to mess around with .cfg files?

Anyone else out there with reasonably recent monitors (21" +) got some feedback?

Thanks!

1920x1280 is in fact present as a supported resolution on the video options menu. I run it @1920X1200 myself.

You're welcome ;)
And also see here:

You need to change two lines in the Bin/config.ini or the game world will appear stretched. (The hud will appear stretched, but I think it is minor)
