Has anyone tried Painkiller on a netbook? I'm curious to hear how it runs.
Thanks,
Adam
I own a Samsung NC10 (Atom N270 1,60Ghz, Intel GMA 128 MB, 2 GB RAM) and I tried to run PK Black.
Officially Painkiller won't work with Integrated Graphics Controller, beccause Intel do not support T&L (timing and lighting). However, there is a small software wich emulates T&L (found it http://www.dreamcatchergames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=224089&postcount=48 ), and in my case, the game launched properly.
I started a new game and it appears that when there is light on the screen, the game run very very slowly (~ 5 fps and 0,3 normal speed...). Unplayable !!!
Maybe it coul run smoothly if you have a more powerfull processor.
Sorry for my english :p
I also have a Samsung NC10 and can run Painkiller with an average FPS rate of 15, slightly lower with many enemies onscreen.
