I've made it to the Catacomb boss i shoot the at the star in the ceiling planks of wood fall but no light shine thru.Can anyone tell me what im doing wrong.
P.S. When i shoot at the star the boos hasn't shown up yet and i've tried when he's there with the same result.

Have you tried luring him under the hole anyway? It could just be a graphical glitch.

The intended way is to burn him with the light. Shoot the star up top to open the light, then stand on the very edge of the cliff above the pit of fire. As soon as the boss steps into the light he'll instantly gib. Alternatively you could time it to get 66 souls and enter demon mode right before this fight and simply blow him away.

Your right it was a glitch light wasn't there and he still bbq'd

When boss appears, look at the top of room, you can see a pentagram like star there hidden by wooden planks, shoot them and pillar of light shine from the maked hole. Then lure the vampire boss under the light and thats it.
