While the game has been translated into French there is no AZERTY support.
Does anybody know how to patch the game to make it ZQSD instead of WASD?

Not a patch, but have you tried [SHIFT] + [Alt] ? It works for me with any game. (Yup, you can do it while you're in a middle of a game ^^)

Essaies avec [SHIFT] + [Alt]... en toute logique, ça devrait fonctionner. (ou eventuellement [SHIFT]+ [Alt Gr])

As Allonzy said, Alt + Shift should change Windows' keyboard layout and allow you to play with ZQSD instead of WASD.
However, a simple menu to change the controls would be more flexible and user friendly.
