When I start the game I get an immediate exception as seen on attached screenshot. Can anyone help me with that?

Okay, talked with Ethan that works on the game, it seems the game bugs out when you have the TERM environment variable set to anything but "xterm".
Run the game like this: TERM=xterm ./start
That should fix the issue, works for me.
