Hello!

I'm encountering this strange issue where any ingame light source, explosions and especially the player ship's light flare shot cause the left eye in the VR HMD to go super bright, literally blinding, while the right eye does not.

Example: Shooting several light flares at once makes the HMD's left side go completely white, like 100% of the screen, while the right side only gets as bright as the light flare is supposed to brighten up the environment.

So something seems to be rendering differently on the left eye / screen (post process fx?).

Needless to say it is unplayable this way. This occurs on the latest Overload release as well as previous versions.

My hardware:
i5 4670
16GB RAM
GTX 1080
Win10 x64
HP Reverb G2

I've only had the G2 for a couple weeks but I do not have display issues with other games, so I'm assuming it's likely a bug in Overload's HMD rendering. Anyone else noticing this?

This seems to be a problem with the ProFlares lens flare plug-in used in the game. We've implemented a workaround in the olmod community project: https://olmod.overloadmaps.com

We've also created a standalone mod for this workaround if you prefer that: https://overloadmaps.com/dl/del-proflare-shader.exe
Hey arbruijn, thank you for this fix! This will definitely help other players, too! :)
