I did play the Decent shareware back in the day with a joystick and I wanted to go back to that kind of game with Overload.
I had little to no problem playing with Keyboard and mouse, but when I tried playing with a joystick, I ended up accidentally rolling every time I tried to aim at an enemy, ending up both disoriented and dead. Maneuvering wasn't that much easier. I do know that my joystick have a twist function and my old one didn't have one. I also know that rolling is mapped to this function.
I'd like to ask veterans of that genre of game: how important is rolling in a game like this? Is it absolutely necessary for this game? Is there an option to disable it (if I don't need it), or do I need to unbind the twist function on my joystick? Is it more of a sensitivity issue?
I really want to play and enjoy this game, but the rolling makes it borderline unplayable.
Thanks in advance.
