I'm thinking of buying this game (either O1 or O2) so my wife and I can play co-op. My computer is a desktop PC, hers is a laptop connected to the local LAN via WiFi. However, I've heard that LAN is not supported. How to play in multiplayer mode then? And do we need to purchase two copies of the game?

Did you ever get an answer to this? My wife and I were going to buy it to play co-op and not sure if it'll be supported on one PC, or if we both can connect our PCs to play together.
Yes, I bought the first game two weeks ago because I found they'd patched in the option for two players to play on one keyboard. You need only a few buttons per player anyway. But no LAN play, sadly. Strange, such an obvious and popular multiplayer method absent from a game clearly designed around co-op play.

I guess all other players use controllers. I have a Switch pro controller, but I cannot get it connected to my laptop.
From my search results, xbox controllers should be able to work.

I am using Win7 64bit, if any other is using NS pro controller and succeed, please let me know.
