Today, May 17th 2022 The Outward - Definitive Edition is released. It comes with both DLCs and has various improvements in combat, quests, storylines, etc.

This will be free for owners of the original Outward. But, as per usual, goodness knows when it will become available on GOG!!!

EDIT: Depending where you look, you need either Outward and both DLCs, or Outward and the Two Brothers DLC to get the free upgrade, where you will get the Soroboeans DLC free.

However, I have the Soroboreans DLC but not Two Brothers, so I may be stuffed. Will have to see if the Definitive Edition is cheaper than the DLC!

EDIT 2: I see the Three Brothers DLC is $20, and Outward - the Definitive Edition is $45 so if you don't have Three Brothers, you better spend your $20 to get something "free"!

Well, …

EDIT

Okay, on the store page it said "If you own the original Outward base game and The Three Brothers DLC on GOG.COM, you can redeem a free digital copy of Outward Definitive Edition." so I put it in the cart where immediately a 100-percent discount was applied.

So, just "buy" it.

So if you pay for the game and the 2nd dlc you get a free dlc and the others who support the game and the first dlc got nothing.

I have seen no evidence that you get the first DLC free with purchase of the second.

EDIT: I took that wrong. Looking at the specific wording, it does appear that owning just the original game and DLC2 is all that's needed. Take it as you will. ;/

It's now December 2022, and Two Brothers DLC is on sale for £8.50, and the Definitive Edition is £17,

So they are always going to force owners of the original and the Soberrons DLC to pay for the Three Brothers
to get the definitive edition.

Have not played Outward much, as it's annoying always knowing what I am missing out on.

But I will NOT be buying Outward 2!
