Hi folks!

How is it possible to activate the Mono branch of Outward with the Offline Installer (without GOG Galaxy), to be able to use Mods for Outward.

I am using Oldward - or Outward Classic / Vanilla - (so not the Definitive Edition!)!

Can someone please help me?

I tried to add "C:\Games\GOG Games\Outward\Outward.exe" -default-mono to the link, but it doesn't work. Is there any way to do so.

With Galaxy, it would be just this way, I know:

outward.fandom. com / wiki / Installing_Mods

Edit:

(yeah, it was on purpose, not to edit my opening post, because the request is still open)

Soon after my request yesterday I installed GOG Galaxy, and yea, with it ofc it worked. It installed like 157 MB afterwards by updating it after selecting the mono branch. So I fear it is not possible without Galaxy to get the mono branch.

Maybe someone can confirm or negative it. Thanks a lot.

I play without the DLCs, just Oldward Classic Vanilla. With the DLCs it patched 767 MB, and the two DLCs itself have 610 MB.

Update 2024 - Outward Definitive Edition:
It still requires GOG Galaxy to switch to the mono version to get mods working.

instruction:
1. install gog galaxy -> log in
1a. optional add game if already installed: top left: options: add game -> select folder
2. select game -> options (top middle next to "play") -> manage installation -> configure -> beta channels: mono
3. wait until game is updated
4. Play with mods (I use r2modman.Modmanager)
