Anyone have any idea how to get this game to run in windowed mode, or to lower the resolution? It's stretching to fit my 3840x1200, and I've tried changing the INI file, compatibility mode, etc. with no luck.

Yup. I used a program called "DXwnd" to get the original OP2 cd version running on win7 in windowed mode. (Though aero desktop composition auto-disabled itself while playing due to the game requiring 16-bit colours, not 32-bit).

Search or use this link ~ https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/

edit ~ Probably worth mentioning I had it running nice & stable in 800x600 window (1920x1080 desktop), though other 4:3 resolutions worked too (did not check for widescreen). Text was still readable, as the game UI did not stretch-to-fill & just had more space to work with instead.

Hey, different person! I tried using that program, but I can't get it to stop forcing my resolution to change with loading the program. How would I stop that from happening?
EDIT: I'm on Windows 10, btw
EDITEDIT: I figured it out! I tried turning different options on and off. Turning 'Recover Screen Mode' did the trick for me.
