The Outpost Universe community has just released a new unofficial update to Outpost 2!

The OPU community update 1.4.0 includes:

- Support for the English CD and GOG distros of Outpost 2
- Support for localization if you also have a non-English CD (base install still requires English CD or GOG)
- Native-resolution fullscreen and windowed mode
- TCP/IP multiplayer over the Internet with automatic port forwarding
- Framerate fixes
- Over 40 new maps: single-player, competitive multiplayer, and co-op multiplayer maps created by the community, as well as ports of the maps from the OP2 demos
- Many new gameplay features and quality-of-life improvements, including doubled unit limit, increased chat message length, always display damaged unit HP bars, and reduced Savant notification verbosity
- ... And many more changes and bugfixes! The full release notes can be found on our website.

Hotfix 1.4.1 has been released!

Included fixes:
* Fix an issue where mission objectives of having empty Cargo Trucks could not be completed (which prevented some campaign missions from being completed).
* Fix the "Fractured Alliance" custom multiplayer Survivor mission's initialization, so it is now playable.

If you have not yet installed the OPU update, you may download the installer exe. If you have already installed 1.4.0, download the 1.4.1 incremental update zip instead. (The installer does not yet handle upgrading from 1.4.0.)
