Hi everyone. Thougt I'd buy the game and give it a try. Well, right now, I can't.

First, when the game launch, all I got is a tiny letterbox rubish at the upper-left corner of the screen. I can't see anything (and I mean ANYTHING, it's not a small picture, it's just rubish) . But I can EAR the video sounds.

I tried to modify olcfg.exe to switch for direct3d. Then, when I launched olwin, I got the exact same thing. If I press "ESC" several times, I can finally get to the game itself (the game engine seems to run fine) but If I press ESC during a game, rubish again. I can't get a menu, can't get to change my commands, can't save the game, nothing. And even if I could, I'd appreciate to be able to watch the videos.

The game is running on Windows 7, with a Nvidia GeForce GTX760. Anybody got a clue ?

EDIT: In software and Windows mode, everything runs fine. That's a start. Except I can't use the mouse while in game for no reason AND doors are hell to open.

I take it that initially you were using 3DFX mode via nGlide then? That works fine for me but I have seen a number of reports that it doesn't work for all machines. You could try replacing nGlide with dgVoodoo as the 3DFX wrapper and see if that works better for you.

Direct3D mode wouldn't work for me either, giving very similar issues to what you've described, and software mode just gives me a small window which doesn't capture the mouse. 3DFX mode works great, but my machine likes nGlide (I've used it many times).
Tried dgvoodoo, and that doesn't change a thing.

Are you launching via the GOG provided shortcuts or are you running olwin.exe manually? GOG released a new version installer today, although not for this specific issue, but it is worth a try just in case.
Sounds like DSR enabled in nvidia panel.

Disable the option and reinstall the game:

Well, actually, it isn't.

Well, forget about the mess. The game works just fine since the last version has been released on GOG.
