So, I have a handful of games running on DOS or Win95, but this game in particular doesn't work as expected.
Now, just to be clear I am running a VM in VMware Workstation but all of my other games (Black Knight, Pinball, Championship Chess..) all work!
If you guy's have any answers or helpful tips for my problem and I, let me know.

Hey, I am running on a 2013/2012 laptop. HP Windows 8.1 to be exact. I don't think I have a VGA monitor, do you have any other ideas?

The game works now, but for some reason I cannot use the mouse in the main/options menu and sometimes cannot pull up the key binding menu.

There's no definitive answer to that. Running all software, every app and program you download, is about trust.

So why trust Dege?

* He has built that trust over 15+ years
* If he was malicious, he would create something simple with mass appeal

That said, I consider using a gaming computer for sensitive things to be a bad idea in general.

you need to open .conf file and set freemouse=true
