I've been revisiting the SP game. I wondered if there were any way to capture him without using olairhead.
While hiding under his platform, looking at the map and pondering, he just kept throwing TNT. Low and behold, he eventually blew out the wall to his right.
Very difficult and expect to die a lot, but that blast created ledge can be used for a crouch jump up to his location.
Just a giggle.
