Hi,
Currently i`m not able to play games using my mouse and keyboard and have resorted to playing the majority of my games using an XBox 360 controller.
This has proved very sucessful with some small exceptions.
So far I have mapped the majority of the controls in Outcast to the pad and it appears to work great, the only small problem i am having is rotating the view around the main character.
Reviewing the control options outside of the game I understand that this control is mapped to "Rudder Control" but mapping this to a key on my controller doesn't work.
Also I notice this is controlled in game using the mouse but mapping the right analogue stick to act as a mouse in XPadder doesn't work.
Does anyone have any helpful advice on this,
Thanks
ReZ
Why can't you use mouse and keyboard to control?
"Rudder Motion" has to be used together with the "left" and "right" movement key. While you keep "Rudder Motion" pressed, "left" and "right" will rotate the camera. To move the camera up and down you have to use "Pitch up" and "Pitch Down".
While it isn't as accurate as using a mouse, I think you should be able to map those functions to the right analogue stick.
Ok thanks Syrion for making that clearer for me,
In answer to your question it's more of a home issue than a technical issue as I broke my pc desk at the weekend and haven't replaced it yet ! :)
