Oh, thank the Yods! Let's get this on here pronto, GOG!
It's here now.

Grargar: It's here now.
And I can't install it. When I try to install it a popup tells me that it's not compatible with the version I have installed and that I should "download a new installer". But the main installer wasn't updated, it's still the same one. Oh well, will see if reinstalling and directly applying this patch will fix things.

Edit: Okay, just discovered a weird thing. Two of my installers were updated on December 31st and the one with the lower version number is more recent by several minutes for some reason, I guess I may have indeed had the wrong version installed.

Edit 2: Okay, successfully applied the patch now after reinstalling. Still, it's a weird thing that happened there.

Edit 3: HELLZ YEAH!!! FINALLY! The launcher programm actually works for me now. No more editing ini files if I want to change common options. :P

I should try the new patch, too. Let's hope this time is the good one!
I have been struggling with this game since the end of this summer... for one reason or another, it never works. The 1.1 version finally managed to run on my rig, yet the optimization was so poor I couldn't play without massive fluctuations in FPS (and with massive I mean spanning from 20 to 60 at 720p in the same zone, never reaching a stable point) and disappearing walls.

If you still have performance issues with this version, try disabling V-sync and Bilinear Filtering for Meshes under the advanced tab of the settings in the launcher. Some people get better performance running in windowed mode compared to fullscreen.

I tried moving around the village.
In 1080p, the framerate is still terrible regardless of the other settings, even if this time it usually manages to stay above 30.
On contrary, in 720p (with Vsync and Bilinear Filtering for Meshes disabled, as you suggested) the improvement is really noticeable, even if the fluctuations are still there; this time though they go from nearly 55 to nearly 90 staying over 60 for the majority of the time, instead that from 25 to 60 like in the previous version.
I noticed no differences between windowed mode and fullscreen.

By the way, I'm using an i7-4770.

It's the same for me. Last time I checked the developers themselves recommended to run the game in 720p due to different issues (apparently not only the framerate). And I must say that I can't complain. Thanks to some filters that smoothen the image the game stil loks really great in 720p in my opinion (in earlier versions that filtering was absent in windowed mode but that seems to have been fixed - but due to this also the performance gain in windowed mode seems to be gone).
I just patched my v1.1 Outcast game in GOG and now it won't even load anymore. It just says there was an error with OC1.1.exe. Is there a way to fix this?
