Hello hello!
Some days ago, i've recovered this old game, who's provided to me a lot of fun during my youthless... I so, i putted the CD into my computer en enjoyed this exellent game even if he was as old as he was! ^^'
However, I've got a little probleme when i play to Outcast on Window 7, 64bits... It's when i talk to Tezu for the first time to Ocryana, before his third answer the game chrashes each time i try it... Then i cannot do the quest of the 20 potters... ;'(
Nobody has had this problème before me? I've been looking for a solution on Google, but i didn't find anything. If nobody knows the same problème, then i suppose i should try to uninstal and reinstal the game, maybe it comes for an uncompression problem?

Are you saying that you are not using the GOG version?
I would recommend buying it, so far I have not encountered any problem with it. I'm using Windows 7 64 bits too.
Basically the original version has several bugs and problems that severely tampers the enjoyment. I also have the original CD (french version) but $5.99 is cheap enough so I don't care if the game plays well. And it's the case!
Even if it's not officially supported by GOG you can set the language to french and live the same experience than with the french CD version... Just without the damn CD! It's a matter of copying some files manually, it's really easy to do. The in-game music is there too, even though in the original game it were provided as audio tracks.
You can also use a patch that adds a nice 640x480 resolution, it's a must-have on modern computers.

Baaaah, in actually i have finished this game 5minutes ago, so... It doesn't matter anylonger! xD
However, thanks for your answer. I also have the Original CD but for my part, I didn't have any bug or problem, exept for the potter... And I asked for it, because I wanted to finish the game at 100%! ^^ But, it's no such a big problem... ">>
About the 640x480 resolution patch, i wanted to play it in the same condition tahn during my youthless, so... 512x384 forever!! xD But, maybe i'll try it just for fun! ^^
