I'm running the "vanilla" GoG-version of Outcast on Windows XP 32bit and have been playing through the first (not the snow-tutorial) and desert-world. Thought I'd drop in in Okasankaar and have a look around. Half an hour or so of playtime in Okasankaar and the game starts crashing.

It first happened when one of the plant-monsters popped out of the water and since then I've been stuck with the game crashing to desktop after about 30 seconds. So far I havn't tried anything except a few restarts and just now reinstalling the game. Still, the issue prevails.

If anyone has any ideas or hunches of patches that might potentially work I'd be grateful!

EDIT: Started a new game and played through the entire game without encountering any significant problems what so ever. It was probably an issue with my old save file getting corrupted or some such. Solved, more or less.
