Any idea how close it is to being totally done with patching? I've been itching to play Outcast again, but have been waiting until the seemingless endless parade of patches finishes up.

I have no idea, sorry :/

Oh well, no worries. Plenty of fish in the sea as it is, thanks for the heads up.
I give Fresh3D lots of credit for patching it even if it seems never ending. They could have just left it buggy like many new game developers do. This was a dead game developer wise not long ago.
Thanks to them for patching such an old game. It's really a great classic and glad it is in the hands of people who care.

No hate, if I didn't have the game and it just came out, I would have purchased it in a heartbeat, even if it meant waiting for awhile for a "completed" version. Outcast is one of my favorite games, and made me more comfortable with the adventure genre, I would not pass on an opportunity to pick it up again.

A shame the Outcast 2 Kickstarter failed, though they certainly could have done a better job with it.
Have they done anything to utilize GPU acceleration yet?

LMAOFOF! Good one. Cool old video too. :)
:-) posted with kindest intentions
I am very impressed by the continuing dedication of the devs and hope they are working on something new as well so I can give them more money.
Nice to see the fixes still coming. :) There's been some sucky bugs in the past with Outcast that were nasty traps. Seeing them finally get squashed has almost been worth the wait...

Should help encourage new and old players back to it though.
