I played this enough to know the answer, but that was very long ago when I wasn't paying attention to such things. Is there anything in the game that would bother a conservative parent? Thinking of language and content. I know the aliens used fake swear words, which isn't a problem. I don't remember if the Earth characters swore or if any of the conversations included sexual references etc.

They aren't my kids, so my own opinion of the game isn't relevant.
There are a few swears, unfortunately, including a prominent one right at the beginning (Cutter says "holy shit" when he first sees one of the Talan). But there's not too many... I would think it probably comes in about the same as a PG-13 film. They only happen during cutscenes I think.

There are no sexual references unless you count one conversation with a Talan about how the males must travel to the island where the females live at a certain time of year and the females then pick certain males for mating. There's nothing explicit in that conversation, just some lighthearted banter where Cutter makes fun of the Talan for never having been picked.

Lanquage is about the only issue. Mild violence and protracted death scenes (but no gore).
Thanks, I remember it being pretty tame for the most part. I know there's nothing like the infamous hacker scenes in Longest Journey. Care to guess at how many times total he ends up swearing in the cutscenes? It'll help me decide.
