I ve removed the big boulder and drained the river, played through more of the game thinking nothing of it i am now stuck because i only have one wooden key and i broke down and read the walktrough only to find that stairs should have appeared :-( I have no saves that are before me draining the river

did you go in that room in the rocks, when you jump down, where the river did fall down before you drained him? There is the first key. The second ist at the organ, where you have to place the four pipes.

I have a map in german. The Keys are titled with "Holzschlüssel", the pipes with "Pfeife". Hope it helps :)

Ah, i see, you don't find the stairs? As i remember, you should swim some yards in the back direction, where you jump in the water.
