I remember playing through this game ages ago, when it came bundled in a magazine.

I also remember the battle with the Gorgor being hard as hell and spending quite some time trying to murder the damned thing before it killed me.

While I bought the game on gog quite some time ago (more than a year, I think), the recent release of the 1.1 edition is what made me finally replay it.

Yesterday I reached the mythical battle and... it died with a single shot. More accurately, after I hit it with the gas from Oru's weapon, I shot it with that Rocket launcher thingy (weapon 4, I think) and it went down instantly.

I don't think I had any updates to the weapon back in the first playthrough, while yesterday my weapon was level 2.

So, was it a bug or it was supposed to die that fast for real?

I played Outcast for the first time, on the original CD, a few years ago. I also had a really easy time with the Gorgor. In fact, when I tried to shoot it with rockets it looked like they went right through it (perhaps a residual processor speed problem? I was using a processor slowing program to get the game to run). But when I hit it with Oru's weapon it went down right away.

I'm not sure if that's the way it was supposed to behave originally, though. Anyone know for sure?

I had a variable experience yesterday with the Achondar. I entered it's area, on the first flame it cleaned the relic for me and them it took a lot of shots from wepon 4 until I died.

Then, after reloading, it died on the first shot. I had to reload again because I forgot to drop the relic. Next reload, I couldn't make it clean the relic. After a few more, it cleaned the relic and died after a considerable amount of ammo spent on it (a combination of weapon 4 and 2).

Maybe it is indeed bugged.
