OK, after some drawbacks i brought it now to work. So far i can see the start talk with zokrym and when it comes to the orchestral-theme the window blanks. Quitting the scene makes it possible to run around but if i use a gamsav the light starts to emit and then the game crashes the video-driver. (driver has stopped working)

I use currently the 335.23 driver using the high-res V3. I further use a dual-head setup on the Geforce GTX690X2.

HELP!

skullner: I further use a dual-head setup on the Geforce GTX690X2.
Does this mean you're using SLI? You could try disabling SLI to see if that fixes the crashes. SLi can cause problems with older games, and a single one of your cards should be plenty to run the game.

That said, I thought the game ran entirely on the CPU, not using the graphics cards at all. So I'm not sure if it will help, but it's worth a try.
OK, checking more into: It seems that the grafic-device has an issue with the extreme alpha caused by the gamsav. If i keep switching to taskmanager and back to the game when the driver is reset i can make a save and a load, but it stops the funside completely.

This issue is also seen if i use the x-ray on the binoculars. The dualhead itself does not bother so far, but it is quite anoying if i have to wait and switch the tasks for approx. 5 minutes till i can enter a name for the savegame. :'(
Dual-head, you mean you use two monitors?

I use the same driver version (335.23) on an older GTX470, just one monitor though. Also using the high-res V3 mod from Zenger, and running it at 1280x1024. No other mods or any ini files modified btw. It seems to run fine here.

I'm at the very beginning atm, just arrived at Shamazar. No problems with the Gamsaav nor x-ray binoculars so far. Just FYI.
OK, now it seems to work. The PRQ-Level had an enormous impact, as it seems. if entered the high-level and using two monitors it works. (Left one the Game, right one the desktop).

I test it now a bit further.

Incident is solved.

Lol, I didn't know I solved it :) Nice that you got it going!
Btw, what is PRQ-level? I can't say I have heard that before.

Waltorious, did you see you got a quote on one of the Outcast HD remake videos? At 2:28 in the front video atm. I recognized your name, so just FYI.

Yeah, I saw that, it was pretty cool! It's just the title of my GOG user review, which is apparently the highest-voted user review for Outcast so it appears first on the game page, but it's still cool.
