The smooth gameplay makes it easy to enjoy from beginning to end, and its flaws much less bothersome than they could have been. I recommend it to anyone who would like to play a third-person shooter action-rpg with an inventory but not leveling.
The Good
+Free roam with villages and side-quests.
+Good enemy AI.
+Ridable mount. Mounted combat.
+Gameplay is very smooth once you get used to the unusual menus.
+Decent dialog and good voice acting.
+Sci-fi theme that doesn't take itself more seriously than it should.
The Bad
-The vast majority of enemy soldiers are placed unintelligently with the most basic weapons, largely negating the benefit of the good AI past the beginning.
-Explosion radius is unintuitive, extending farther than is obvious.
-Weapons and many items have unintuitive names.
-Weapons are unbalanced.
-Mid-game is very easy.
-Ending sequence is a pain due to cheapness, won't let you backtrack, and hits somewhat unexpectedly.
