does anyone else have problems with framerate drops over time ? i know there are quite some threads about normal framerate drops, but this is something i also had with the original game in back 1999.
It always happens after i'm extensively have conversations with npc's. it looks like the conversations have a significant framerate boost, and something is compensating for it and holds it back. ( you can see this with a framerate counter ) but after that the game will run a bit slower and the conversations will run just fine.
I start out with over 60 fps, no problem at all but after a time it can slow down to even 8fps. but if i don't have any conversations at all it will stay mostly at 48/50 overall. sometimes it isn't a problem, but other times, it's just becoming unplayable at all.
this wouldn't be a problem but i'm trying to make a playtrough and recording it. so this is quite annoying if you have to save and restart the whole game over again :(
