Yeah, i'm having an unusual problem, I gave the guy that is supposed to take me to Oru's island the zeedog gland, and left him to fix it, by that time I did the cyana lighthouse quest, once i was done, I headed back to the fisherman guy and I simply can't talk to him, the icon for "talk" doesn't show up and all I can do is jump in front of him...... Is there any way to fix/avoid this ? as I haven't got a save of the past...

I guess you've solved this by now, not that I have a solution.

Incidentally, I had to reload myself at that same spot. Before getting into the boat as he'd agreed, I saved, and after that nothing happened. Boat didn't move no matter how much I jumped. There was no option to restart the conversation, so I was forced to reload. Now I keep cycling between 5 saveslots and suggest everyone else playing this do similar :\
