I have retried it several times and redownloaded the installer. But it does not work not matter what I do (English and German version).

Message is:

An error occured while trying to rename a file in the destination directory: MoveFailed; code 2.
Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden (The system cannot find the specified file).

May be I should add something about the system... Windows 7 64 BIT with all updates, AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor, 3.4 Ghz, 12 GB RAM, GA-790XT-USB3 Board, AMD HD7770
This machine had no installation issues with any game before and usually works very nice.

May be it is an issue with my AV (damn snake oil). I was able to install it on my notebook.

MoveFailed; code 2 typically is caused by your AV quarantining/deleting the files in the middle of the install.

I disabled my AV (NOD32 version 8) and volià! Outcast was installed. When I tried to start it (after enabling AV again)... bad message. So I checked the log files and saw that it the exe was moved in the quarantine. Restorted the file and now the game works. :)

It would help if a note is added to the download page.

Damn anti virus software - it would help if THEY tell you that it moved files to its quarantine folder ...!
