I've been trying to play some Outcast with a gamepad for a while, but no dice.

I've seen people on the forums saying that an Xpadder ou Pinnacle profile did the trick for them (about using a 360 controller to play the game), but for some reason it's not working for me. I use the Pinnacle game profiler, and it had always sufficed my needs, but not today.
-If I simply launch the game and Pinnacle: it won't work, the joystick configurations of the game itself will conflict with Pinnacle's.
-If I follow the recommendations of checking "disable joystick": Outcast, somehow, bypasses everything and disables any controller input! So not even Pinnacle works while Outcast's window is up.

So there's my problem, in one case I have a input conflict, in the other a complete block of input.

I've already tried to simply exclude any default joystick assigns in the loader configuration tab, but it seems there are other joystick definitions that don't appear on the loader and still conflict with Pinnacle. So I went to the .ini files and tried to configure from within. I'm not one that usually plays with .ini files, but I know the basics. I was very careful to only change the necessary and not mess up with anything. Upon trying to play after changing the .ini the game keeps crashing (doesn't even starts after loader).

What is different about my case that I can't simply use a Pinnacle profile and that's it (like many from this forum)?
How to work this around?

Please, it's getting on my nerve!

Hey Draxx! I worked it out!

It was a matter of privileges. I noticed Outcast was being played with the "execute as administrator" checked, while Pinnacle wasn't! That was setting a precedence of effects for Outcast. I simply swapped the settings (now Pinnacale was the one executed as administrator) and it worked!

Never heard of such a problem or over empowerment by this settings as this. But worked for me, I hope I could help ya!
Thanks but I managed to work it out. All i had to do was rebind walk to another key. For some reason R-ALT was causing issues. Once mapped to another key, I simply adjusted the Pinnacle profile and worked flawlessly. Thanks for the info anyways :)
