Im on mission 14a where im suppose to drive down john in a cargo truck and burlak to retrieve an artifact, my problem is once i capture the last southern base and negotiate to recieve the artifact or rather the data nothing happens, the remaining american soldiers retreats and the buildings gets deserted now i just cant find i the artifact, i have tried capturing every building and even destroying everyone but its not there, i have been stuck now for 2 days please help me somebody !

Did you help Hugh Stevens before in mission 5? If so he should give you the data after taking the depot south of the lab.
If not then you need to actually capture the lab. That should give you the data then put Macmillan in the cargo vehicle and have him pick up the artifact, which should win you the mission.

yes i did help stevens previously, and he did offer to give me it when i captured the depot and choosed to negotiate, the thing is he doesnt drop any artifacts, i have tried both options, capturing the lab, and negotiating, i've restarted the mission both from the menu and campaign interface and from a savegame, it still doesnt work, i can't find the artifact anywhere!
and like i said i have even tried destroying all the buildings just to see if the artifact is hidden somewhere but it isn't, im totally lost and still trapped on this mission i cant progress!

Not sure why the artifact is not showing up for you. You could try the save game from

I think it has profiles that have already completed the game and so unlocked all the missions and as you have practically completed that last mission you could just load into the next one. Not used the saves myself so make sure to virus scan them and all that before use.

Save files can't have virus's in them.

I'm having another issue that's somewhat off putting.

On my first try of the mission I captured the depo first ,and got the data. (I didn't even know there was a ?second? artifact.) The problem is when get when I start to head back to the marked mission exit, I get a mission complete message with all metals accounted for.

To which I think "cool", but then the trouble starts. After the graph page if I hit 'next mission' the game promptly crashes. If I exit to the menu to try to pick up where I left off from the mission list in the campaign menu, I just restart the same mission again.

I like the game, but this is putting a crimp in my fun.

Are you using 1.10b or 1.11 beta? 1.11 beta may solve the problem(Should work fine with GOG's version).

I couldn't tell you off the top of my head, it's been so long. I did check to make sure it was the latest version at the time. I may reinstall it and try again though.

I know it's over year ago but still I think I should answer this because I palyed the mission yesterday.
Getting data about bomb is just aprt of the mission. If you recall you came to retrieve hidden by Burlak nearby. At the start of the mission, small are on map was marked when the artefact is hidden. To complete the mission you need to pick him and take him to exit area. The artifact is in small groove below the area where ther bomb was tested.

This mission is poorly made. When you pick the artefact they say something along lines let's watch te bomb test though you had to get past test area when going for it and the bomb most likely already detonated. Then, when you destroy the lab and don't have the artifact yet they just say let's leave and nothing about artifact.

I suppose you are not around anymore but maybe this will help someone.
