I get this half way through the install.

I seriously doubt it, that the file you downloaded here would be infectid. It's probably NOD, that's overreacting.
Well, if you want to be sure, then run a complete scan of your computer to see if there are no viruses that could have infected the installer, then delete the actual one and download it again.
If NOD still reports problems, then just disable it for the time of the install. Hopefully, it won't cause any trouble after the install.

Yeah i thought maybe so. And it says that the event occured on a file _created_ by the setup and not the setup itself. Will disable nod i think.

This is rather stange...
This message suggests, that the file has been deleted, but not by the installer...well, when I tried to install it on my father's PC, which has NOD Smart Sec. on it, I got the same message, so maybe it is still NOD.
Try exiting NOD completely for the time of the installation, not just disable the virus protection...this is somewhat risky though, so disconnect from the Internet before it, if you are willing to do it.
Also, I am not an expert with antivirus software, but maybe you can specify exceptions (files, directories, drives...) which will be ignored by the program? Doing this is also risky of course...

I did but i got the same error. However it has to be sometihng to do with the antivirus. There was a NODkrnl process running in the background, i tried to end it but it instantly appeared again. So what i did was go in Safe Mode, and install from there, and then went back to normal windows again.

AVG 8.0 finds "Trojan Generic11 AMNM" in OwarDedicated.exe after installation.

Yeah, for me too, but I never ran that application, so I don't care.
That, and the fact that I trust GOG is enough for me to click on ignore every time AVG reminds me.
