Hi,

I decided to get back into the game and wanted to try out some of the new campaigns that have been made for it. Absolute Dominion seemed to be highly rated so I downloaded it and put it in the mods folder. However, when I try to actually launch it, it errors out. Got some more mod campaigns downloading atm so will hopefully see if it's all mods or just this one.
About to try the original campaign again to make sure it's not the game itself not liking the laptop.

Would it be a case of it not liking the new renderer?

if the mod contains a folder called lua then delete or rename the folder. Its a known issue when that mod has a lua folder because the author copied the whole lua folder (Which is always a bad idea) to his mod(at a time when SGUI was not released publicly, i think at least a year or so before) and stuff has changed.

AFAIK the mod doesn't need the lua folder anyway.
