If you are a big fan of tactical gameplay and old-style RTS games (i.e. C&C) you will enjoy this game. I have to admit that the first two levels of the American campaign are a little slow. I don't really know how the Russian campaign works yet because I'm still working on my American playthrough. If you bought this game, or are interested in it and willing to put down $6, go through to at least level 4 of the American campaign.
The game starts off a bit slow with only troops at your command. When you get access to vehicals (especially when you gain the heavy chasis at around level 5) the game speeds up a lot and becomes a whole new game. I can say that OW is a slower paced game, but once you get your base all set up and a decent economy up you can have a ton of fun with some deep strategy.
Just give it a chance! I bought it on a whim and am having a great time!
