I have trouble understanding how to exactly win the game. In my current game, I have achieved 76% control of total population for Conquest Victory and 84% recognition as Emperor for Son Of Heaven-Victory. The in-game info says that 65% and 75% respectively are enough to achieve victory. But I still won't win the game - do I need to maintain this status for a certain number of turns? If so, how many? I'm ranked first in all four victory branches and don't really understand what's missing to win. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I figured it out myself now - in case anybody else also got this problem since the wording in the game is a bit misleading. It seems the percentage shown e.g. for the conquest victory is not about the population but literally about the conquest victory. So you need to get it to 100%, not just 65%.

Now that you have won perhaps you (and others?) know the secret? How do I get my catapults and archers to burn down a wooden wall? Perhaps the secret is in how they are deployed or mixed with certain other troop types??

Never mind I figured it out. More archers and keep besieging foe several turns.
