I checked out the demo and it looks promising. However, there are some issues that make me hesitate considering a purchase. Many game elements are unexplained. Errors occur in various station modules, but it's not explained how they can be fixed or resolved. Certain modules are required, but they're not listed in the build menu, and no idea how you can trigger availability. Steps needed to complete missions are sometimes unclear.

A much better tutorial is needed to explain the mechanics of the game. There's too much guesswork and not enough information to help you resolve issues or make decisions.

A lot of those issues have been fixed now. The Research tab shows you what's required to unlock specific pieces of research, and it seems to be based on your station population.

As to the errors, they could explain the specific types more, but I think there's information on those in the glossary found in the procurement screen. You just have to click over to station information, and open the glossary section.
